Hi, can anyone tell me if it's safe to grill under a covered patio with 10 ft ceiling?

Thanks in advance.

Frales

The ceiling is painted wood.

Frales

And there is a ceiling fan above where I would put it.

Starting the chimney would be main concern. I've curled leaves on my maple tree.
Still need a 22" yellow

Thanks, part of the patio is uncovered so I guess I could do it there and cook on that part but was thinking I could use those cube starters under cover when grilling when snows, rains or windy.

TheDude

I personally just deal with the elements.

Appreciate your input TheDude.

Travis

Sounds like it would be just fine. Like Dude said, maybe just mind the chimney.

What Travis said. Don't put the grill close to any vinyl siding.

Crap, I did that with my first grill back in my early twenties. No fire luckily but warped the vinyl

Thanks again guys I have an aggregate patio and everything else is painted wood and brick.

Old Dave

Call your homeowners insurance agent and tell him what you want to do to see if you are covered for that kind of cooking.

+1. Getting a little wet won't hurt anything.
Looking for colored 18's and SJ's.
