Dinner on the brownie
« on: October 14, 2016, 04:18:05 PM »
Hey fella's! Fired up the brownie tonight along with the "Upper Deck", and also tried out the camp stove tonight!

Got the brownie up to about 350 thinking the top rack would be about 375ish. She dialed in a little lower so I fired up another half basket of coals to bring her up. After 30 minutes of the meatloaf being on I put on some baby yellows on the upper deck. I'm really liking this accessory. It runs about 30 degrees hotter than the bottom.

I broke out the Brinkman 2 burner stove tonight as well to do the sides. Had some rice going and broccoli. It was really nice not going in and out. This little guy is going to be a staple for my grill pad.

Here's some pics.

Ain't she purty!

Initial fire management. I ended up adding another half basket to get my desired temp.

Meatloaf slid right under

Camp stove with sides. This is a nice accessory.

What the!! How'd that get in here!?!?
Oh, here it is

Of course the beverage for the evening.

And there you go, boys. In the end it was very nice to just sit out and have everything going without running back and forth getting another beer.... I mean checking on food, so it was really relaxing and enjoyable. Of course, cooking on the Brownie is just the topping on the cake for this grillfella. [emoji41]

Have a good one fella's!

Food looks great Travis. I am looking for an MBH brownie as well. How long have you had that one.

@KevinP. Hey thanks man! I've had the brownie since this summer. "Webertitis" sets in quick. Be careful. [emoji6]

Yeah I know. I think I already have it.  Lol. Looking to pick up my dad's older 18 too. They used to have it at their summer place in Door County.  Need to expand my backyard.

@KevinP. 18's are my favorite. I love the flattop for some reason. That'll be cool to have the ol' man's grill. Good luck!

That upper deck looks handy. How long? Guessing at least a 3-4 beer cook time wise

Very conservative estimate. Probably closer to 5-6

Great use of the upper deck and also thanks for the inspiration on the cook. I'm thinking meatloaf for the family tonight.  The Upper deck really does give you so much more real estate to work with and the build quality is fantastic. It's one BBQ tool that won't be stashed away any time soon.

I am very talented. I can turn grilling a pack of hot dogs into a 5-6 beer event.

It's all about pace.
