So I got this SJ that was marked down for $19 because the box was torn yesterday  so here is the maiden voyage.  I used half of the money I saved on a top sirloin steak. Rubbed it with worschester sauce and Weber Chicago steak. Reverse sear and using a chunk of hickory for smoke.

Had some leftover shrimp fried rice...that was a great lunch!

I retired from 35 years working in the aerospace industry. I worked for Boeing and retired at Lockheed Martin. Most of my time I spent was working in the space shuttle program in New Orleans where we manufactured the external tank.

Congrats on your retirement and a super congrats on your park grill! Do you ever use it? I'd love to have one just for nostalgia of it. My great grandmother used to take me to a park and someone was always grilling on one of those. Too cool!

Thank you. I use that park grill when someone would bring some sausages or brats for a quick cook. I don't use it as much as my kettles, but it so convenient and it's like 5 feet from my man-shed. Beer and brats is the staple for a gathering and we'd fire that boy up in a heartbeat. If you're interested in purchasing one, I bought this one from Northern Tool. It is well worth the price because this thing is HEAVY DUTY...just like the ones you'll find in state parks.

That's a really cool idea.  Unfortunately, I'm currently on a cooker freeze with the wife.

I am too! At the moment she doesn't know that I just bought the SJ. I can hide that one in my shed!
