Real fortunate to have scored this Red and Green last month. I just have not had a time to clean up both and present them properly yet.
So much like 60's and 70's Weber but with many interesting features not found on Weber MBH. For one, it looks like the vents are spuned on a lathe not stamped aluminum like on Weber.

This is the most I can find on Samson kettles. http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/interesting-find-sampson-dominion-kettle/

Here is the Green one cleaned.  Upside roundangle, looks exact same Weber rubber metal wheels and legs still needs to be cleaned.

I wondered where that two tone ended up.  I saw it posted on Facebook by the previous owner.  Correct me if I am wrong @harris92, as I think folks would be interested in its lineage.  The story told was it is a one off prototype by Weber, created to possibly be marketed as a Chicago Bears kettle.  His ex-wife worked at Weber and brought it home from work many years ago.  The guy kept it after the divorce and had been using it for many years. I assume it was created around 1995 during the production of the NFL Special Edition Smokey Joes. Is it an EO code ?  That is really unique and quite a Unicorn.

"Chasing Classic Kettles"

That was the story. People were telling him to paint it. I remember commenting on that telling him not to. Glad you got with him Harris. What a need grill!

It is an "M" code (1990) dark blue jumbo joe.  I believe they came in black, red, green and dark blue.  The lid has orange porcelain enamel on top of the blue.  It was a time consuming clean up (very dirty and a lot of rust on legs, bail etc).  I kept all the original parts except the handle, screws and  wingnuts, etc. So far I've had many college comments(Clemson, Auburn, Florida, Illinois, etc.)
