August 20 - Tragically Hip Day

As some of you may know, hometown boys The Tragically Hip are playing their final concert here on Saturday night. My social anxiety won't let me consider venturing out into the melee that will be Kingston, but the goddess and I are going to have cocktails, stream the concert and grill all-day appetizers. So far my ideas are:

"50 Mission" mushroom caps
"Little Bones" Wings
"Wheat Kings" Crustini with "100th Meridian" Buffalo
"New Orleans is Sinking" Creole Shrimp
"Bobcaygeon" Walleye bites

Any other ideas from the grillfellas?

Sounds nice.  One of my friends is having a barbecue at his place and put his big screen TV and a stereo in his back yard.  I was originally going to be bringing the smoker out there except I got scheduled to work the 4-midnight shift this week, so I'm working instead.

"Pigeon Camera" squab.  I didn't think of that one until late last night when I was talking with someone about songs they didn't play but wished they had.  I hope you guys all enjoyed some good food and the concert.  It was a very bittersweet event for sure, but also a very special one.
