"Genuine Porcelain Enamel"...........

The old Glen Blue with matching roti still has the original badge on the lid.  It is firmly attached and in great shape!

Awesome.  What does the badge appear to be made of?

The badge is made of a thin metallic material with adhesive on the back

Thanks - just like mine (thanks to @Jeff) - only yours is actually intact.  ;)

Might have to reproduce that sticker someday...

So digging around a bit, I came up with a company that made dinettes around the same time as this grill, and it seems used the same sticker. A company called Kuehne Khrome did a range of porcelain tops for tables and other related items, and used Vitreous Enamel just like Weber did. Here's one of their ads.

Who knows, maybe the same company (Vitreous Steel Products Co of Cleveland Ohio) supplied both Weber and Kuehne? Here's a link to an article that talks about that label - near the end. The pic is too small to tell for sure, but how many other labels about this size would say the exact same thing?

I like to dig...

So these were "stamped" for he early production models. Does anyone know when Weber stopped doing this?

Very nice, btw.

That is something we need to research. I'm not sure yet. Unless someone else knows?
