Steak Snack
« on: November 07, 2015, 09:18:41 AM »
Just a quick snack

Started off with a couple of strips. Oiled, heavy course salt, and pepper

The '85 Red chugging away. Only action shot I got as things were going fast.

Sliced up into strips, and we just ate it like this. No forks, no sides, just a quick little snack.

Thanks for looking!

The S&P and the handles caught my eye the most, especially the salt. Good fun playing with food & fire. Nice mid day quicky with a red head.

Those strips are cooked perfectly!  Nicely done.  Now I'm feeling the urge to see what I have in the freezer for a lunch "snack" today!

Nicely done!  New to the club and to kettle cooking.  How long were those on the grill?

These were done over two full baskets, so I could get a good sear on the steaks. Maybe around four to five minutes each side. I'd pop the lid on to quell flare ups, but left if off most of the time.

I go by feel for steaks. In fact I thought I had over cooked these, because they felt tight, but turned out great.
