Baby Back Ribs on the Rotisserie
« on: October 18, 2015, 04:23:49 PM »
Didn't have a lot of time to low and slow these, so I started off with some rub sent to me from @jamesnomore from the last rub trade. This is the first chance I've gotten to use it.
Got to say this rub is an 11 out of 10! Seriously James, one of the best rubs I've ever had, and I kinda hate admitting that, because I make a rub too...

BBs going on the rotisserie

Smoking away with some cherry and hickory

After an hour, fire may have been running a little too hot. More color on them than I wanted

After about an hour and 15 minutes the toothpick told me they were done. Brushed on some sauce and held them foil for a while

Pulled apart to eat!

All in all not too bad.
I still prefer low and slow, but when trying to get ribs done quick, this will work. I did like the crusty exterior.

They look damn fine to me! I bet a little crisp on the sides makes for a great mouth feel. I keep looking for a roti but haven't found one on CL and don't want to pay full price.

I also got in on the rub trade and am pretty excited to try the rib rub after having @jamesnomore hatch chili salt, that stuff is amazing!

Reason #1237 why I have to get myself a Roti.  Never would have thought to do ribs on one, but those look awesome and seemed to have cooked tender pretty quick.  Nicely done!

I've been wanting to try that. I know everything I've done on the Roti so far is awesome. Thanks for posting that @WNC
