Weber Grills have a foot print, how do you store them?
« on: October 18, 2015, 07:06:09 PM »
Winter is fast approaching here in the Midwest. Once a grill hits home here, it is treated with the utmost respect. Not sitting in the outdoors naked again. Covers are a great option, but the elements here, they don't last long. Another, good covers cost more than what I have probably paid for the grill. So with many grills and winter fast approaching, I had to do something :o Yard furniture and other gear has to be stored for the winter also.

Considering a basic 22" takes up a 4 square feet of garage space, I had a cartoon bubble that had to be implemented.

Grills...

Now a better winter plan and still accessible.

Thanks for looking and share your options.

I love seeing all of these examples of things I'm not capable of building.

Great work Greg!

If you can replace a light bulb, you could do this :) This was not Rocket science 8)
Finding and securing a grill is more difficult.

Wow, that is impressive.  Now I almost feel bad about leaving mine outside under covers.  In my defense, mine are individually covered on a concrete pad, under a garage roof eave that gets little sun.  Philly winters arent nearly as bad either.

Straight forward & simple, I love it!

How easy/difficult is it to access the top shelf?

I need a ladder for the 18's, didn't want to drop them. It's a little over an 80" to that shelf.

This was a few months ago. I have thinned the herd out since then.

The Performer and the Genesis stay on the carport. My SS/CB smoker and my OTP/ roti are in the garage!

I like your style Greg!! 8)

Stacking makes a huge difference in footprint for sure. Real nice job on the shelves and I'm envious of your massive garage!

I love the extra floor space my shelves gave me. So much so that I filled it up with more grills and may now be forced to add more shelving  :)

Mine sit at the ready in the basement. But I'm not at "shelf" numbers yet.

Wow. As of now, I leave them outside under a cover. Gotta get some space in the garage so I can put them away.

Unfortunately, my garage is a true two-car. Whatever doesn't fit the freespace in my garage, goes into my 48' semi-trailer for storage. Gonna reconfigure the shelves for display purposes one of these days.

I've come to an epiphany: I have too much $h!t.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞
