**Easy EE Readhead RRR**
« on: September 05, 2015, 08:56:01 AM »
It seems like there has been a lot of vintage kettle action going on in the Pacific Northwet lately, old yellers and baby blues on craigslist etc. But this one kind of lingered for awhile (no WKC buzz) before I decided to make the connect.

22" Silver 3 Wheeler with Blackwall tires and a black triangle.

They were asking $30 and said they would clean it before selling it (Red Flag Warning!), so I countered with a lowball offer and would take it away as is! Deal!

While not pristine, it is in remarkable condition for a Seatown Mossback Redhead "EE" - at least they knew how to grill!

Kept uncovered,  minor lid rim rash, a dime sized chip on the bowl, loose and corroded daisy vents and sad wooden handles that may or may not be salvageable. But I threw some grey handles on it and it was an easy rehab.

Cleaned up the vents and replaced the fasteners, all the tabs on the daisy's intact. Leg sockets in fantastic shape!

What can I say? I just dig the Redheads!
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

Great shape, but needs a set of @zavod44 handles IMO.
Still need a 22” yellow

Red cap nuts would be cool on those wheels.
