The Chili Rellenos

Batter of egg whites , egg yokes  and seasoned flour

Stuffed the chilis with pepper jack , batted and fried in a little oil . Served with enchilada sauce







The maple syrup on corn bread makes it a dessert , so dam good

After reading this I had to get my hatch on. So I went to the produce market and picked some up. Hadn't had lunch or breakfast so I picked up some hot dogs also along with some other stuff to make a creamy pork green chile stew tomorrow.

Dogs, bacon and chiles


Get the 26er set up. Threw the Dutch oven on and will cook my bacon in it so I have the grease for tomorrow cook.

Toast the buns


Clean and cut up two chiles. Heated up some pork and beans, cut some tomatoes, crumble the bacon, add the dog some cheese and ketchup and mustard all makes one hell of a hot dog or 4! So good and I am stuffed.






The rest of the chiles will be used tomorrow and maybe some frozen for later use.

I made some of the stew last night , a quick and abbreviated version of @Winz recipe  , with chicken breast and some homemade stock I had to along with the spuds and other ingredients . Served with the chili cornbread it was a feast !



Then for breakfast a Hatch chili scramble with potatoes
