A big thank you to @MrHoss for the alert.

I rescued my very first Performer today.  I have been hesitant in doing so, as I wasn't sure if it would fit in my four-door Civic.

I also need to thank @pbe gummi bear , @glrasmussen , and @Lerxst in assuring me that it can be done easily.  Thanks guys!

Here is the other first .... This is the very FIRST Crate & Barrel lime green Performer that I've seen listed in Canada.

I have secretly wanted one of these, but never thought it would happen since these were only available in the US.

A one hour drive, door-to-door.  Traffic was fine.
Very nice gentleman.  A Canadian, born and raised, but lived in Queens, NYC for about 20 yrs of his adult life.
Bought this at C&B down there.  Loved it.  Used prolly once a week.
He hasn't used it since he's been back in Canada - about 2 years or so.

Lid is near flawless.  Some minor issues with the bowl, but nothing major.
I will replace some of the bowl hardware with SS bolts, nuts, and washers.
Can't wait to shine her up.

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Wow very nice! You've inspired me... I don't have a performer and I didn't think I could fit one in my 4 door civic 8)

Sweat score! I see you even kept his ash... JK, Congrats on a grail you were lurking for quietly. Seriously there are scarce wherever you may live.

Always use a seatbelt! I like how you were able to keep the axle in place. Welcome to the performer club. I guarantee you'll be hooked.

Yessssssssssssssssss!!!!! Ha ha ha!!!!! "Mark" one score for the team!!!!

That Kettle is gonna look good beside the rest of your cookers......and look beauty with a Mahogany handle I bet.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

This is why you always carry a blanket or two in the back of your car.  Ya never know when you will have to pick up a greasy kettle at a moments notice...LOL

I love the looks I get when I disassemble a Performer in about 45 secs and shove it into my Corolla.

Nice work getting that thing home. Enjoy!

@LB- my sister's toyota sienna has saved me lots of time. It's given me an appreciation of minivans.  ;)
