The first ever international meetup was a huge success! Jeff was right about the heat, and the storm was actually impressive. A few of us had to hold the tents down, but were ready to throw our bodies over our favorite vintage kettles at any moment. My pics will come later, and I finally was able to take some beauty shots of Brian's collection. Well, part of it anyway.
Great food and great company. Meet ups are always amazing. Thanks to Brain and Jenny for all the hospitality.
Some of the questions answered at this meetup:
How may lit chimneys will fit on a mothership?
Will Hoss take home more kettles than he came with?
Will Anyone eat one of those imported pickled eggs?
Do jalapeño brats taste as good as chorizo brats?
OMG, who made the skirt steak skewers?
Did anyone count the number of kettles on display?
How many cart-type kettles made the event? (Very likely more than have ever been together in one place, and not an SS in sight!)
Answers to these and many more questions to come. Many more photos on the way, but we'll space them out so you don't OD too soon.
