Flat irons ala coal-saver......

Made these before I got sick....in a feeble effort to save my last bag of coals, I used very little on this cook.   

Didn't get a high enough heat to make hem come out like I normally do.   Still not a waste of flat irons.   

Cut in half and seasoned.



On the grill.....not enough heat...Bleh.



Took them a little longer to cook. 





They didn't get the crust that I like....but still ok.



But....still a tasty dinner with some Mexican rice and a little salad. 


ribs pre-boiling & reaching for the lighter fluid!

CM, those flat irons look mouthwatering delicious! Plus, I'm a junkie for any kind of rice as a side dish.
