These were the First Place "Anything on a Skewer" category winner at the 2010 Tree Top Skewered Apple BBQ Championship in Yakima, WA. 75 Teams competing.

I used cream cheese with 4 blend shred cheese, removed all seed and scraped the veins on the Jalapeno's, and used Red, Orange and Yellow Mini Sweet peppers wrapped with Neuskes Apple smoked bacon with a combination of Obie Cues Sweet rub and Smoky Okie's Okie Dust and spritzed liberally with Tree Top Apple juice (of course).

The Mini Sweets are the way to go, if you want tame turds!

With JD McGee and our 2nd Place Brisket ribbon - the checks had more weight!
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

I've done it with mini caps and banana chillies when I had a friend that was allergic to everything hot. The flavours work fine and you shouldn't have an issue. But then you can't call them Turds! (ABT----ATOMIC Buffalo Turds)
If it breathes, we can cook it!

I LOVE turds made with sweet peppers.  Love 'em
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Clean the peppers well to begin with.
Then to prevent a bland flavor (if done without spices) try Mesquit smoke..
Done "low & slow" to let any other heat cook away & Softens the pepper nicely.
