The cold front is bringing a line of thunderstorms through the area so I jetted out of work early to get dinner done.

Chicken was unceremoniously tossed on the spit, and as it was thundering already I didn't bother looking for something to act as butcher twine to truss the bird.

The bird was seasoned with an all natural rotisserie rub found at our local Mennonite store as the performer was heating up.

After about 20 minutes spinning away, I had to brave the rain and take a peek.

Plating in about a hour or so after a rest.  More pics to come.

Here's the end.  I pulled the chicken off after an hour and 15 minutes after the heaviest part of the storm passed.

I put on some local asparagus and grilled it while the chicken rested.

I made mashed potatoes with cheese curds and wild chives from the back yard. Here's your plate, with some leftover corn from the other night.  Thanks for looking.

The skin on the roti looks like it just can't be beat. I have like 4 accessories on my list before the roti but it's climbing fast.
