Smoked wings on my Sam Adams
« on: October 31, 2014, 04:28:23 PM »
Finally got to break in my Sam Adams with some smoked wings with peach wood.  I've been getting my wood from Fruita Woods (I have no affiliation). Really like their stuff.  Very fesh. The peach went beautifully with wings which I soaked in buffalo sauce when I was done. Awesome!!!

This is the kind of image that can be deceiving on first glance. Let's review the advantages:

1) 18.5" kettle, ideal for so many small-medium cooks.
2) charcoal, smoke, Craycort delivering even heat
3) 21-22 juicy-looking wings cooking indirect

There are legions of restaurants incapable of cooking wings so well.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

I usually do not like the logo'd Kettles but that white lettering on the Copper looks bang on.  Craycort CI just kicks it in.  I really got to get me some of their stuff one of these days.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

I'm not big on the logo grills myself but I did really like the looks of this one. I also made quite a few mods to it: wood handles (Brian's), replaced ash tray with ash bucket, added a lid thermometer, and of course the Craycorts.  I do really like the way the Craycorts cook but they definitely require a little extra effort to keep in good shape.
