This Alvin guy is seriously "THE ONE" when it comes to finding the goods.....AND passing it along......

late last nite, I start getting PM's about here's this, is it a 26"?, I'd get it if it's a 26", etc., etc.

I say, I'll get it for you, I'd like one like that sometime, and it sure looks like a 26".....

Alvin says "You need this, I already have a 26" & more spare parts coming from Weber to maybe build another, so you get this one (!!!!)

He ends up texting the guy & getting most of the setup in place.....all I gotta do is make it out there in under 30 minutes......

It IS missing a hubcap.......

But, it's a Wood Dale !!!!

C L Pic

It's pretty crusty inside, but man, the wheels are dang near perfect, the lid's a tad out of round with some chipping & scraping, but the bowl's got NO heat blowouts...... :) :) :)

250 'Turds in one shot are now possible !!!!
(after I put together an upper deck grate)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!!!

In the true spirit of this place :

THANK YOU ALVIN !!!!!

That's a great story, and a great old grill. You're gonna have to start your own farm just to have a supply of jalapeƱos.

Your welcome Ken. This is a fitting grill for a great grillmaster like you. I know you will enjoy it. From the CL pic I could not tell if it was a 26r or not because I cant see the
Triangle. Ken identified this grill just like that, he was right on the money.

Amazing find!  That ash pan is one of the best wood dale examples I have seen!

Alvin - you are not only the king of finding great deals, but an extremely generous grillfella.

Congats to both of you!
