I'm not a huge fan of pizza anymore , but the kids asked,  so I made an attempt.

I could only get to up to about 500 degrees , I put a few coals in the baskets to ramp up the heat on the stone which sat about 2 1/2 inches from the top , the pies took about 5 minutes to cook. It seemed to work out I thought I'd get more of the wood fired look but I guess I wasn't  hot enough

The idea

Wood fired lol

Brilliant setup maybe bigger wood logs on the bottom can bring up the heat?

Looks like the real deal to me, nice work!

More wood and more coals in the basket,  lump charcoal would help and  would get me hotter , I was trying to be cheap and use as few coals as possible since I was only making 4 pies. Still looking for a great thin crust recipe , this was a bread machine crust, it was ok , anybody got a good thin crust they want to share ?
