What's your favorite cook?
« on: July 12, 2014, 03:01:53 PM »
Is it ribs, pork, beef, chicken, fish? Favorite cuts? Personally I like cooking baby back ribs. So many different rubs & sauces out there make it an awesome platform for flavor profiles. I've mastered them quite well on my pellet pooper & was quite impressed how well they turned while camping last weekend on my performer.

Favortie would probably be beef shoulder clod......not a quick decision thing, maybe $90 for a decent whole one & a 16 hour cookup....

Looks great. I haven't experimented with pulled beef much other than a trisket I used for burritos.

So far it's been ribs. Still learning a lot. So much more to learn. Many more meats to cook.

You are 100% right buckie, I am trying 1-2 different types of meat/cut a week. So far everything has been amazing. Tonight's chicken leg quarters:

I think this was discussed before and I had a hard time then figuring out a favorite. I still don't have a favorite per say. My favorite thing to do is to cook for others so I usually try to cook a variety of food from apps to entrees to desserts.

Yes I was very happy with them even though I sauced them. I will blame that on the wife. She wanted it on them I didn't.

Hahaha yeah I know I could have just sauced up 2 of them and left 3 nice and crispy, but I wasn't thinking straight. I had food on my mind.

I like cooking up pork butts, but my favorite stuff to make on the grill is not meat. :o I really enjoy making desserts on the Weber( Big surprise right?) I enjoy baking cakes and breads and my favorite thing to make right now is Cinnamon rolls. I have not made it in a while but I really have fun making Bannanas Foster on the grill.....I mean we all love to play with fire right? My Grandkids get a kick out of the big burst of flames when I light the Rum.
If it needs to be Heated to be Eated, I can do it on my Weber!
