Happy Father's Day!
« on: June 15, 2014, 01:34:28 PM »
Seemed ike a good excuse to fire up the 26. ;) Started the spuds and carrots first.

Ribeyes warming on the Q - first step in a reverse sear.

Veggies holding and shrimp and steak nearly done!

No plated pix. I didn't want to spend time arranging and photographing while the food got cold.  :P

Served with a nice red wine and followed with a cake/whipped cream/strawberry thing from Sam's and a good cup of coffee - well... best we could do with the kids out of town. (*)

I hope all of you had a great day too.

(*1) #1 son called between dinner and dessert - perfect! #2 son is enroute from vacation in Florida and will probably call when he has a chance.
kettles, smokers...

I love that there's plenty of space to have your cast iron skillet keeping things warm while still grilling the rest. I don't have a 26'er yet, but I'm going to get some smaller CI serving dishes to use like you are here. Considering I've had four 22's plus my 22 WSM going simultaneously before, I should probably think about a 26 to save some charcoal!
