Oh and beutiful installation of the small discs for the "rivets"

Brian

I used a narrow tube of super glue to keep them in place. Probably didnt need to, but the "AMT/ERTL model kit builder" in me said to.

And yes, I know I have the table mounted wrong on the Ranger...I've been taken to task already, but NOW I know how it mounts to the kettle!

Thanks, Jeff! Here's a couple shots of mine. Its got a wide metal handle bracket for the old 22's and a narrow one for the old metal handle 18's.  Looks like our tool holders are set up a bit different. I sometimes forget that back in the day flathead screws were standard.

I'll have to look on the underside of mine to see if there was a screw hole where the towel rack may have been.

That's interesting, but how would that fit on the 18? Wouldn't the front piece get in the way?

That is SWEET! is that an original table? I only ask, because I have one on my 26 Brownie. Ionosphere's have 18 and want to make proportional model.

Greg

Yes, this is an original from the '70s. Right down to the towl ring on the one side. I read somewhere (here, I think) that Weber only made these until 1977. These should fit a 26" easily. All Weber did was use the old style thumbscrew leg sockets to adjust the height. The only thing missing is a chrome leg cap, but I'm sure I can find one at SLowe's or the 'Depot. This was definatly a good investment! All I need now from "accessory land" is a '70s kabob ring and a Corn 'N Tator ring.

Craig

I have a Brown Flat top 26" with the same table, My set up on the end is different. Now that I know they metal end caps
to be authentic, I am removing the white ones.

Thanks for the detail.

My end that attaches to the handle is also different.  I don't have pics of it handy now, but I know I sent some to Brian.  Maybe he still has them and can post them.  If not, I can take some new ones.

Hooked up to my 18.5 No adjustment needed. Fits like a glove!

And here is the underside on the 22.5

El Pulpo Rojo

Here's what I did with the Double Chef I picked up last week.

El Pulpo Rojo :o

The mid section holds two racks now for either the drip pan or more meat. It was never used.

Here's the water pan I am now using as an ash pan.

I removed the ash canister and made this slide vent out of SS to control the temps.

Here it is looking cool parked next to the Red Rat.

Now it's time to get this thing greasy and smokey!  ;)

I painted it. The original black was pretty faded and it didn't look cool. It's a dedicated smoker and I don't expect to take it over 300.
