I am technology challenged, but still would like to contribute.

I have some original Weber catalogs from 1962,1963,1972,1973 1998-2012.  I also have FOB price lists from 1998-2012 as well as schematics for most of the grills from that time.

It would be helpful if I could email or send a flash drive to someone so they could post it on the site.

This way anyone could research old Weber products, determine age, model numbers and how it was originally manufactured.

Just my two cents worth.

Heyjude

I could post them. Just let me know if you want to send a flash or burn them to a DVD.

When I get a hold of a rolled lip twist ash pan, I can lay the collection out and do an evolution of the ash catching system. From Twist to Gold. We can also do the handle evolution as well. From metal to nylon..... just a thought.

Hey AJ,

I will start with the catalogs and scan them to a flash drive.  Then would it be best to mail it to you?

I like the idea of documenting the evolution of different componets of the Weber.  The lid vents from different eras would be good to get too.

I'll be willing to help, any way I can. I can shoot some video and be in it if required, but it'll be redneck, like me. But any way I can help out I would be willing. Writing, video, pics, whatever you need.

I setup a Wordpress account last week. Now I just need to fiddle with it and learn how to use it. So I can help submit materials here. Might take me some time, but I havn't forgotten this topic.
