Dear Weber Customer:

Weber is conducting a voluntary recall of certain metal wire bristle grill brushes due to an ingestion hazard. Ingested bristles may cause serious internal injury requiring medical treatment, including surgery.

I started this awkward voyage today.

Cumbersome process that requires downloading a third party app, turning on your camera, location, etc. permissions, sending a photo.

Huge PITA, and no information about how to handle multiple brushes (I have 2 at home, and a third at a remote location).

I took a single photo of my 2 local brushes and submitted it.

Recall telephone rep. now tells me that each brush requires a seperate photo of a single brush and a complete stand-alone submission!

Someone didn't think through the privacy issues or multiple brush scenarios very well.

Maybe I'll just drive by HQ and leave my old brushes by their front door.....

I've been using this one for several years, 5 at least. No problems. The problem is with copying the best always ends up cheaper. Weber's twisted wire brushes are not the problem it's the cheapo copys. I'm not tossing mine it's still in good shape and I'm using it. No doubt some dumb ass will smoke the nylon brush and floss with that...then what.

Good Day.

Tomorrow I'm going to Ace and buying more or digging them out the dumpster later.

Every store I went to has already removed the twisted metal wire brushes and wouldn't let me dive the dumpster to get'm.
If anyone wants to ship your new or mildly used twisted metal brush to me instead of trashing it message me here and I'll send my address. Hopefully Weber realizes the mistake and resumes selling them soon. Fortunately I have a few I've acquired over the years picking up stray grills and buying desirable ones.
