Hey Guys, picked this table last summer and it's been sitting. I want to clean as best as possible before adding it to one of my kettles.

What's the best product to use for this hard plastic table top?  I don't mind elbow grease just figured I'd ask the club for product and best process for the RRR effect!

Thanks much!

I'll jump in...... Looks like a worthy restore!

I did an OTP table that was in dire need a few years back.  I used an random orbital sander with very fine grit paper, thinking it was 220 then finished with a protectant that Tom Horsman uses.  It's still looking as good as it did when I restored it, just add a little protectant every once in a while.  Here's some before and afters and a link to the protectant.  Whole process took probably 30 minutes if memory serves.

Good Luck!

Here's a link to a restoration article for those resin tables I wrote up in 2017.   It can be found on the right side of the WKC Home page under Restoration Guides.

The side table you have is made of the same material the Performer tables are made with.

Here is a link to the video Tom Horseman made of restoring resin tables in 2019.

Thanks Greg and Jim!  I didn't think there was a table restoration guide from the times I had looked in the past!  Thanks Jim!

Greg, your table looks great after the clean up, thank you!

So no waiting until next year, I got some work to do and couple it with a 22".

Appreciate you guys!

I always used diluted simple green and a magic eraser.

Gringo

Thanks Troy!!  I'll use that first round before I can get to the store to  buy the orbital sander

Thanks again everybody!! Will use all input!

You're welcome. I forgot to mention use hot water also. It's surprising how clean it will get it. Make sure to rinse the simple green off of the legs completely, it will etch them if left on too long.

@Gringo  There is a WKC Glossary at the top of the "Weber Grill Forum (Grills, Accessories)," page.  Maybe one of the moderators can add "SME," to the

list.
