Quick question, what year did Weber introduce the curved back leg kettles and also stop production of them.

It’s Europe only 1981 till 1983. I have 1 c-code and some E codes.

Ok great, thanks for the reply , I’m in the middle of buying one and I’m trying  to work out what year it is as I can’t see the top vent , it’s got single strew wooden handles and the 2 large split pins on the rear legs , have you got any ideas ?

O it’s a 18” chocolate brown Bar-B-kettle exactly the same as your black one (speck wise).

Can you see if it has the one touch cleaning system? Then it is probably an E code. The c code has 3 daisywheels.

No it’s definitely a Bar-B-kettle, the 3 temperature vents on the bottom of the bowl, I suppose it’s a silver.

So in your opinion, would say it’s a C- 1981 , thanks for the assembly manuals.

Yes, the black 18” and the green 22” are c-code. De green one has a double rivet top handle and the one the only single screw bowl handles. The black 18” has 3 single screw the one the only handles

Ok excellent, for the hell of it I’ll let you know for sure what year it is when I get it, I buy and sell Weber kettles, this will be my 129th , I buy them , completely dismantle and thoroughly clean every surface and polish all the aluminium. I do GA , Smokey joe’s , 18” 22” and one day I’ll do a 26” when I can find one.
