Missing one of the metal retainers that go on the end of the axle.

Nice DEMO kettle.  Not many of those 50's Demo kettles survived.  If your in need of new push on axle caps, new ones can be purchased at Lowe's. They are 3/8" push on axle caps, just like the original ones used by Weber.  Here's a link to them at Lowes:

64-66 would have black steel wheels with painted white walls. One side of the wheels would be solid black with no white walls. The white walls were only painted on one side of the wheels.

Thanks, I will grab a couple of those push nuts the next time I go to Lowes. Just cleaned up everything else and will have to try to glue the existing tire back together on the rim. The other wheel is still all in one piece and cleaned up pretty good. Will post photos after I get everything back together.

Welcome and that's an interesting kettle. Let us know how the restore goes.

Thanks! I have been using and enjoying it for years and had no idea it was that rare and special.  Still cooks like it did when I first got it. Will be posting some photos of it cleaned up soon.

Got the old girl cleaned up and the tire glued back on. Had to make an extension for the front leg as it was rusted off at the very bottom. Cut a piece of conduit to fit over it. Picked up the new wheel retainers at Lowes (thanks Cellar2ful). The tray cleaned up OK but is kind of rough. Pretty happy how it looks cleaned up and standing proud again.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill
