Was at my local Lowe's tonight and they have the original kettle (non MT) in deep ocean blue.  Hadn't seen this before.

A surprise for sure when spotted in stock at my local store. Comes with gbs and ash bucket for 200 or get the lid bale, taller legs and warming rack for 230 from weber.

I still like the indigo if I am going for a new non MT.

It's "exclusive" according to Lowe's.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Just curious if this kettle is made here in the states or in China like the red limited edition.. I ask only cause the red one had some coating issues and failures I've seen online and other forums.

Cheers

I am pretty sure the LE red was made overseas because Weber is not allowed to make that color here, due to the formulation of the paint and environmental issues with the formulation.  But, that may be hearsay.  Nonetheless, I am willing to bet the blue is Canadian steel/American made lid & bowl. I think the other parts are made overseas and assembled onto the kettle in USA.

I looked at the box.  It's made in Illinois with "globally sourced parts."   They still press and enamel kettles in Huntley, Illinois.  I'm glad they do!

I picked up a modern one for the fleet. Its a really nice cooker. People dont like the taco handle or the upgraded handles but they are useful. I like my modern.

I checked them out and came home with one for my Red White and Blue trio.  I had a "Dark Blue" AT date code OTG but it was more like purple.  I'm happy now.
