First attempt at pizza
« on: September 09, 2020, 02:03:28 PM »
Well second. The one last night was kind of a shit show because I tried a yeast-less dough (don’t do that) because my store was completely out of yeast and a too garlicky pizza sauce.

So I found a quick proofing pizza dough on YouTube that was magical.

Super easy to make and I didn’t have to wait until tomorrow to try a different pizza.  I also made a different sauce with hand crushed San marzanos and no garlic haha.

All in all I think it was way better. I even put an egg on pizza #3

Pizza 2 and 3

And an asshole preying mantis who crawled up my hand as I was taking a drink of my beer. I may have freaked out a little and dropped the beer all over my deck.

Looks fun!  Never had an egg on a pizza before......might go well with sausage and cheddar.  Nice job!

Thank you.  I saw it on YouTube.  Who knew YT would be such an amazing resource?

My favorite pizza is sausage mushroom and banana pepper.  I'm trying the egg on that after i perfect it.  I need to find a way to cook a bigger pizza than an personal size 9 inch pizza.  These are my test runs before i invest in a kettlepizza or a large pizza stone.

They all look great!   Pizza is on my shirt list but I need a ton more research before I venture down that path.

Now..  did you really say no garlic?  Is there such a thing?

I did a lot of research too.  The set up was something I saw on youtube like i mentioned above.  The dough is legit good and it was ready in less than 2 hours.  I was skeptical but now i'm not.  One day i'll try the same guys no knead recipe where it proofs for 12-18 hours and mother nature and yeast does all the work for you.  YouTube search no-knead pizza dough, it's fascinating stuff.

Hahahah yea no garlic this time.  I love garlic.  The wife does not.  So I decided to try to cook these with her tastebuds in mind

Great Job! I would recommend getting the pizza insert. It works well. The pizza stone gets over 700F. Happy Grilling.
