My first Blue 18".  8)   No other imperfection or rust anywhere but 2 large porcelain pops on the backside of the bowl. Won't be anytime soon, but I will be turning this into OTG.

High heat damage #1 (from banking hot coals)

That's a real beauty, congrats!!... Fyi, on the ash bucket addition, I had the same idea on a brownie 18 one touch I have. Ordered the bucket and it turns out the vent holes extended past the collar. Unsure when they changed to a shorter vent but something to be aware of.

The bowl vents were changed to the current configuration in 2000, when Weber began producing the 18" OTG (18" with a ash bucket assembly).  Prior to that (1999 and earlier) the bowl vents were longer and narrower than the current model bowl vents.  Current model bowl vents are shorter but slightly wider.

That little blueberry is super sweet!  Congrats.  I wasn't aware the blue 18's were made during these years, especially with those style of sweeps.  Neat!
