Any thoughts on the new 2019 weber kettle master touch?

I'm kinda up in the air with the new kettle. It's nice and all but I like being able to remove my lid.

The lid is the turn off for me. Other than that .. it’s kinda neat ...

Nope. Not for me. My theory is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The lid is a turn off for sure. With that said it my be a kettle to get and put away for a few years. Supply and demand.

I like the charcoal ring and diffuser plate.  It helps to address the space limitations for indirect cooking in a 22 kettle.  The lid is a turn off.

There's design features common in this new mastertouch and the summit charcoal grill (P shaped vents, diffuser, lid with hinge).  I think that's Weber marketing working hard.

I know I don't like the lid but at the end of the day it's the brand we all trust and love so shouldn't we all be a little optimistic?

If I was gifted the new 2019 Euro Master Touch for FREE, I'd use the hell out of it! In fact it would be my primary go to grill (or daily driver).

Optimistic? About more gadgetry/profit? IMHO. At the end of the day, my lid has cooled, and has been placed upon its perch as it has been for years on end. Sorry, just old school here... no new tricks, no new gadgets needed. What I do need is a beer tho... :)

From what I've seen on this grill I'd jump at the chance to own it.
