Sweet kettle, I call those long drives sweet kettle therapy!!
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

@JEBIV that's the way I look at those trips.  I listened to an entire audiobook on the way there and back, and had time to just sit and think.

Sweet find and great price too!
I've got an 18" avocado, and it seems to be the color that gets the most complements

Always wanted a 1968 kettle. That's my birth year. Great find at a cracker of a price. Well done.

So much envy, long drives in Australia can be so incredibly boring. 8 hours minimum to the neighboring states capital

Congratulation Jason.  Those older cado's have the neatest, high fades.  It really looks like a halo.

By the way, in case any of you remember, @pbe gummi bear sold me the "dumpster cado" a few years back which basically set me down the path to where I am now with 21 grills :0

In case you're curious, here's the link to that first restore:

Finally, that grill was gifted to a couple of my friends who moved away and were buying their first house.  It now lives in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Wow! One doesn't see those high fades too often. That is a nice score.
