Question about wheels

The wheels on the new Master Touch kettles are rubber tread with a solid hub face. Does anyone know if these are the same diameter size as standard wheels for a 22.5 kettle. If a fella wanted to upgrade the wheels on a basic 22.5 kettle, would these wheels fit? I know the Master Touch sits up taller than a standard kettle. Just wondering if the wheels were bigger too? Thanks.

MT wheels are 8".  Standard wheels are 6".  If you cut 1" off the back legs, the kettle would sit level.  You'll only change the triangle's angle a couple degrees (barely noticeable, if at all).

Someone in here did a beautiful mod using spoke tricycle wheels. I'm gonna do that... love the look.

Master touch wheels are plastic. Rubber wheels ended in early 70s... I think 72

New MT wheels are rubber tread.  Finished off with a gray plastic hubcap.

I would lengthen front leg before cutting rear legs. Right size wood plug should do the trick.

My reasoning:

Going from a 6" to 8" wheel raises the backside 1", hence the reason I cut 1" off back legs.  Maintains factory cooking height & looks factory original.

It would be slightly less than 1" because the front leg  extends further forward. If you cut exactly 1", the front will be slightly lower.
