I was recently chatting with a grill guy. He is an estate liquidator by trade. This guy mentioned to me he picked up an old Weber grill with a blank lid vent. I asked him if the lid was flat. He said " no the grill has a round top and is white".  So, I showed him a pic of my White Custom and he said "Yeah that's the grill". He picked up the grill two years ago at an estate he was liquidating. He found the grill in the crawl space of the home. So he took the grill home and put it in his shed. It's been sitting in his shed untouched.

I asked him what the plans are for this grill. He told me he already has an old black 26 to cook on.  So, I asked him if I upgraded his old black 26 with a similar model in better shape would he trade? He said yes and we swapped grills. The grill is complete and needs a thorough cleaning with rust removal. At some point in time the legs, wheels, and bowl sockets were painted black. The paint is coming off without much trouble and all parts are in nice shape.

It's gonna be a fun restoration.
