Pay no attention to that German.  I live near where it was made in Arlington Heights (right by my aunt's house at the time) & based on the box, it is clearly a French model because it says fragile, which is pronounced "fra gee lee".  I'm also part French.  For those reason alone, you should just sell it to me.   ;)

If you live near where it was made you should find another one!
I have a temp and humidity controlled room for my kettles so it would be in good hands :-)

I'd keep it in the family.  If you were to start collecting that would be an awesome start.  If not, fire that bad boy up and then pass it down to a family member.  The stories that will be created will be priceless.

No, no.  I didn't pick up any new patent pending by the cell.

But, I did pick one up by McCormick place.
I hate those Offerup "maps" that really don't give you a very good of an idea of approximately where something really is.
