Did somebody get a free Sears kettle?

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn't?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I've amassed a nice collection, but I'm missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

PotsieWeber

I agree.
I do believe that wheel will clean up very nicely.

For a second, I thought cado, then I thought faded black weathered warrior, then I decided there just wasn't enough showing to tell in that pic.  But, I did not bother downloading & enlarging.

I will say that it is nothing rare or valuable but it is amazing to me.

I just buffed the lid. So I could get a true sense of the color.

I found this downtown Indianapolis at a house I was estimating the roof on. I spotted this poor thing in the back corner of the yard. I offered 20 but when he saw the sockets falling off he said I could have it. It was in a very affluent area on the near north side of Indy. This guy had a massive house built in the 1800's and was an eccentric guy. Everything was overgrown and house needed a lot of work. He owned the kettle since new. It's an m code.

Now the question is how to restore it. I thought about cutting the bottom off my one touch sockets sweeps and all in one piece and cut out this one and river together. Or I thought about cutting the sockets along with large circles of metal and replacing the sockets that way.

What do you think?

Free is amazing.  Also, the faded blacks often have character.  Good luck on the restore.  I don't have any tips for you, but have seem some amazing things on here.

There is a M code near my house that is being offered for $35. I posted a thread in the Online Finds sections. It is the one where I feel bad for the guy. Do you want it? But the one near me is in considerably better condition.

Is it black?  Seems far more faded than any other black I've seen!
Its amazing how quickly one weber kettle turns into more than a dozen!  Always open to grabbing something interesting so let me know what you've got!
