Grilling tools
« on: November 16, 2017, 03:10:03 PM »
So I have a question about some older grilling tools I have they have the “Vernco” name made in Japan. I inherited these when my father died. My mother tried to sell them at a yard sale saying I had enough grilling tools I was tempted to put her into a home at that point LOL. The first is the tongs they are a fork, knife, spatula, bottle opener, and tongs once put together. I also have the cleaver.

I need to say that the stainless steel I on the tools is probably the best I have ever used they have taken a beating. I have just ordered a set of antique knives that were made by them off of eBay I hope they are just as good as the tools that my father used 40+ years ago.

So my question is has anyone else ever used, seen, or heard of this product. Or know the history of this manufacture?

Love rosewood.

I've seen (and probably own) a spatula with a bottle opener on the opposite end. But the church key opposite the fork is interesting. What I like is that bottle opener in the cleaver. That's a freakin' man's tool right there.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

I really love them. I do have a very nice set of Pampered Chef Knife Set. It’s just that I really like using dads set, and later to be my son’s set. He likes grilling but don’t understand why so many. I told him they’ll be his someday. He asked what he should sell first! I laughed and called him a shit! [emoji23].

This is a stock picture of the Pampered Chef Knife Set...

Current eBay auction for the matching 2 tools.   Popped up on a "vintage bbq" search I have saved.  Looks like the same.
