I wholeheartedly agree with this ...
When Hoss rescued this for me, I pretty much thought ... Okay, well this is it ...
Of course, there is always something else around the corner waiting ...

Been cooking on it a lot since acquiring it a month ago.

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Yeah that faded black is special.

A dove gray C&B performer would complete my modern want list. Anything else would be icing on the cake.

Imperial. If I could find an imperial I would probably call it good.
Chestnut. If I could....

I think this may be one of those metaphysical questions, in the same vein as the "which-one-would-you-keep?" quandary.

But I feel you, @kettlebb, I also lie to myself and say 1 more and I'm done.

While I LOVE the hunt and will always look for and love to have rare colored kettles (you know, glen blue, vintage limes), I would be satisfied if I could find an 18" blue.  I don't have an 18" grill yet and I LOVE the blue!

I am not a collector. I cook with everything I have...and they are all black.

Although I have always sort of wanted an E code kettle (birth year), what I really would like to find is a faded black "weathered warrior"...18, 22, 26...so far past black its beyond gray nearing a shade of light blue, possibly with some rust.

Maybe I'll settle for a gray one and let the elements do a little more work.

Man...those faded black "WW's" just do it for me.

I am good with what I have, but I am always on the lookout for something special.

A red 26", a red Ranch Kettle and an ivory 22" and I would be a happy camper.
