Wow that’s amazing! I leave for a few hours and this happens. Wish I was able to be a part but with the new baby moneys a tad tight but glad I can witness it.

Gofundme Closed!

Thanks for everyone that offered to contribute to replacing @Darko's SnS. Some members have committed to contributing right after the July 4th holiday but for now, I am closing the gofundme as I believe we have enough to cover a Slow N' Sear Plus and shipping/tax to Canada. I will order it directly from @ABCbarbecue himself.

I'd like to personally thank @Troy @JEBIV @Neil_VT00 @Madpap @james1787 @captjoe06 @MikeRocksTheRed @cwestsmokin @Joetee @charred @Cellar2ful @SixZeroFour @inkaddictedchef1 @Foster Dahlet @Craig @Rub @Bob BQ @fljoemon @WNC @Dave O @kettlebb @LiquidOcelot @bbquy for offering to pitch in. You guys are what make WKC great. Keep up the great work!

Cheers!

Sure I'll toss something in.

You just don't mess with someone else's grill. Ever. So wrong.

I've heard about Slow n' Sear's... how do they work / what do they do?

@james1787 The SnS is a high quality, solid wall, stainless steel charcoal "basket" that allows you to cook indirect/smoke at low heat and sear at high heat. It looks really simple but is well thought out and made with high quality materials in the USA. Many members were initially skeptical but it has proven itself to be very useful. This review: http://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2016/01/04/slownsear-review-the-best-way-to-smoke-in-your-weber-kettle/ describes it way better. The creator @ABCbarbecue is also a member.

This is absolutely amazing. I'm speechless(I know, that's a shock!!!). In a million years I would not have expected this generosity.  Hell, I didn't expect this at all. I was more than willing to chalk it up to a learning experience. As I said in my original post, I kept a cheap black kettle on my driveway for inclement weather cooks when I didn't want to use the ones in the backyard and be exposed. On this particular kettle, the sweeps were a bit distorted so it wouldn't shut down well. That was why I left the slow & sear in it, to let the coals burn out.

I can't thank you fine folks enough, and I am honoured that you think that much of me to do something like this. This truly is one of the best forums on the web.

It was my pleasure Darko. I haven't been a member long but I have enjoyed your posts. It seems like everyone else has also.
