Couldn't wait for the holiday-
«

Just finished up this project today and couldn't wait for the 4th to share. Acquired these 3 H codes over the past year. The Red was one of my first pick ups and just needed some cleaning. The middle was a complete roach and I have spent some time converting it to the festive beauty it is today. The Blue is a used 1 time mint. I've added ash catchers and replaced parts as needed because I intend to cook and keep these in the family. Thanks for looking-

Oh, now that's cool! What color was the white before? Black? Very nice job, man. [emoji106][emoji106]

I'm sorry professor, I must have missed the week on H code history. Is that a painted white in the middle or did Weber make it that way?

I was thinking about doing that to a black since I have a blue and red. Looks great. Will you cook on the white? What paint did you use?

@HoosierKettle
yes I am actually curing it right now with a single basket of charcoal.... then yes i will cook on it. It's a process... but it came out pretty good.
1) Completely strip down bowl and lid. Including vent wheel.
2) Scraped and removed all grime. Basically looked new, but with dents and rust.
3) Used a bowling ball and a towel pad to get all the dents out. A little porcelain cracked in this step but not too much at all.
4) Masking tape off all vents and holes from the inside!!! (forgot this the first coat and had a little over spray inside the bowl)
5) 4 coats of Krylon High Temp White

6) 2 coats of Rustoleum High Temp Gloss Clear

Man, what a stellar resto!!!
Really interested in hearing how the paint holds up.
It may take that to breathe life back into
my recent Woodard acquisition.
Bowl looks OK, (we'll see) but lid has had a brush job.
