been posing in the other post with updates but now it's to a point where I can actually fire her up after one more part install.

1969 Avacado rescued and rehabilitated.
2007 Preformer donated it's cart, leg sockets and lid bale.
(a custom handle is already being planned with zav)

next is to make some pinch plates to mount leg sockets and hang the ash pan will be done this week.

full gas assist is still being contemplated

debating if I want to keep this table (at least for a little while), upgrade to the metal table or build an extended wood table

also if I did a wood table the metal side plates and the bottom grate would also be swapped with wood

let me know any other suggestions or ideas to improve

I'd do the metal table, skip the gas assist, and cook!

I think the metal table is must, but then again a dark stained table would probably look sharp too.
You've already got so many holes in this thing, go ahead and do the gas assist, it kinda a game changer

thanks man, if I do gas I'm gonna do GAS and add a wga tube instead of the stubby start tube

Looks great! For now, I would really clean the table and live with a bit. You can change it out if you want to later. I personally like the stock table with Cado bowl and the lid combo.  I would just not do the gas assist and keep it simple for this one.

I would have thought you would remove the bowl handles and mount the brackets to keep it clean, but now I kind of like the raised bowl look. Still not sure about the bowl handles on it though. But I like it so much, I will try lifting my gen2 performer project 1/2 to 1.5" with a standoff to see if it looks good or not.

Looks great!

Next upgrade should be a happy cooker internal ash pan if you don't do the gas assist.

Looks great. I'd skip the gas assist as well. I'm always down for a metal table upgrade. I guess it would depend on how much you love it.  The thing about the metal table is that it's swappable on all Performers except the SSP. So a one time investment. I find it very difficult to keep the plastic table from getting oil stains and whatnot
