I've posted a picture of the lid's special edition logo thermometer on my Facebook page along with "DO WANT" mentioned.

Any friend or family member who truly cares about me will track it down and buy me one. (sniff)

Or, I might possibly post the Amazon link there also, as a safeguard.

I have a local Ace stocking the same copper 22 and 2-burner Spirit for the last 2-3 years. That's it, not so much as a single Smokey Joe or even a black 22 of any size.

Are they ever on clearance? Nope. Will they carry this red? Let's just say I'd rather not have to spend an entire afternoon going to Nashville or Bowling Green to find one.

I like it. I don't know that I can justify buying one, but I do like it. I also think that if it sells well the execs at Weber will be more likely to approve other limited edition runs in the future. You shouldn't piss all over this offering and then grumble about how everything offered in the US is black.

I have a NIB blue OTG that I picked up a couple years ago when we heard they were discontinuing the blue. It may end up being a gift for one of my sons one day (they're elementary aged now). This redhead might be a good one to buy and set aside for the other.

Methinks that boiled into that figure is the builder's transportation. (I'm 1.5hrs from a large city, or a good 30-40mins from the metro outskirts.)

I'm also guessing the installer doesn't get the full amount?  Even if it took an hour to unbox, setup, inspect, and whatever else Amazon required you to do I think $90/hr is sweet if you do get the full amount.
