Hey guys recently moved and had to get rid of my pit with firebox and electric smoker, I want to turn my 26" kettle I purchased a year ago into a smoking machine. Would anyone recommend the pitmaster iq130, the flameboss 200 wifi or the cyberq wifi? either one ill be drilling a hole into it because I don't want to remove my ash catcher for clean up. I also have a slow n sear but I like doing long overnight cooks and the sns (22" version from my 22" kettle)doesn't meet those needs on the 26". Thanks.

2x2 snake in the 26 with both vents open will get you 225-250.  Snake all the way around will get you 10 or 11 hours easy.  No need for that fancy stuff really.

I would have to suggest the BBQ Guru-I've been using them trouble free for years on WSM's, BGE's, a Backwoods Gater and Drum Smokers.

Here is a setup I have on a 22" Master-Touch Cajun Bandit conversion. The 26'r would be set up the same.

It's mounted just below the charcoal grate and the kill plug seals it up when not needed. Same goes for a 26.75".

If I were wanting to make a kickass smoking machine out of a 26'r and not wanting a Mini Ranch, I'd spring for a Smoke-EZ and a set of Cajun Bandit legs and make it a powerful 26.75" WSM.

I ain't got the time or patience for a snake! Hot 'n Fast is how I like to roll!

but thats just me!
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

I run a snake around the vortex on my 26er and get 15+ hours every time with coals left over

That's what was left, ran 225-250 through a coldish November night

Nice thanks for the advice, someone talked me into trying the pitmaster iq130 and not cutting a hole in it. Going to give it a go! Until it gets here going to give the snake method a go, ez smoke add on isnt a bad idea either.

I have a IQ130 and I run it on my 22" all the time. I've recently began using it with my SNS and it's a great combo as it allows me to monitor things from my phone and make temp adjustments

How are you planning on attaching it?

Bought an ash vacuum to suck coals out so im going to use the bottom standard attachment. Ash vacuum plus the iq 130 is cheaper than a cyber q together. I believe the ash vac is a good idea; when I use the cleaning system ash usually goes everywhere.

I like that set up. How were your vents set?

using the iq how long does the SnS run before you have to add fuel, do you foil the unused charcoal rack?

Here is my set up on my 26er. SNS with the CyberQ! Did a brisket last weekend. Total of 14.5 hours. Refueled once at the 9 hour marker at 250*.

Used a step drill bit for my 1" hole for the fan. Worked perfectly.
