Awesome resto!!!  Fan Tas TIC!!!

Maybe add a couple of ash catchers???  I think all that Black with the Brushed Aluminum would look spectacular!!

Great job man!!!!

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Just finished replacing one of the burners.

Before-

After-

As of right now, the grills are operational. Still plan to mount a second burner on the other end somehow and I currently have two premium ash catcher assemblies on order. That should complete the restoration project for the time being....well ahead of schedule.

I've been trying to find a griddle that I could use with the burner setup so I could fix breakfast foods and patty melts and a whole assortment of other griddle type fares.

While at academy looking for a replacement burner hose, I came across a stack of these 14" diameter griddles-

These are much less expensive than the lodge griddles, but I'd like to find something that would allow me to use more burner cooking space but still be able to perform decently with the single burner. A griddle could also pull double duty as a way to incorporate my 12" Dutch oven cooking into the grill cart capabilities.

18"-20" griddle would probably be perfect. Haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger on the 14" round griddle.

I was rummaging around in my shop and came across a turkey fryer my brother in law gave me several years ago. It was still in the box.

I think the fryer kit came from academy

Just read the back story. Great story and delicious looking food! Great job on the restore. It takes a lot of patience and elbow grease to get it back to working condition. Love the setup!

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

Wow, really cool setup, congrats on the reunion! Instead of soaking in vinegar, might wanna try using Naval Jelly, it will eat off all the paint and rust in no time and leave behind all the clean metal. You can get a 16 ounce bottle for around $7. You just brush it on and let it sit for about 15 minutes and hose it off.

Wow that looks great! How awesome you were able to re-connect with that grill after all these years and bring it back to better-than-new condition. Hope it brings many years of enjoyment and delicious meals..
