Got me a Seville

I was fortunate to pick up a Seville yesterday.
Now the fun begins.
It is all original and I got it from a very nice lady who's father had bought it brand new.
She hasn't used it in a few years as her and her husband have Weber gasser, but it was always well cared for.

Not quite sure what the plan is at this point. I'll give it a good cleaning and decide whether a full restoration is in order or whether it should show it's age.

I bet you're just sitting outside, drinking some brews, and looking at that grill. I know I would be!

That's awesome! Be careful bending the tabs back down. Might damage the porcelain.

Looking forward to your restoration!

After thinking about it. This is not getting restored. It's going to get a good cleaning and that's it. It's too original to muck about with, and I'm liking the patina. Yeah, I'll clean some of the rustier bits, and respray with some Tremclad but this one needs to show its age gracefully.

After talking with the lady that sold it to me and learning the history behind the grill, it has earned respect. To restore, would remove that history.

I called her today asking about the other charcoal holder, as it only came with one. I told her I had cooked on it, and she was genuinely impressed. She told me that her dad would have been proud to see it fired up again.

The way it should be.
