THROUGH THE MUD BBQ TEAM

Our 2nd competition of the year was last weekend.  It was an incredible experience!

Porkapalooza BBQ and Music Festival in Edmonton Alberta Canada is a top notch,  very well run event. With 42 BBQ teams, 35 food vendors, live music all weekend,  and a CFL football game,  there was over 40000 people come through the gates!

Our competition went very well. The highlight was being called up on stage for taking 5th place in the Chicken category! This has been our best category, and getting a ribbon in only our 3rd ever comp, we are very proud of this! Especially since we cook our chicken on a Weber Kettle!

16th overall was our final standing, which put us among some of the best teams in the country! One spot ahead of the defending national champs!

We now have month and a half to work on our other categories. Our next competition is in August at Those Were the Days Festival in Saskatchewan.  Only an hour drive from home.
