Winter Update.
« on: February 04, 2016, 06:03:39 PM »
Hi All,

The past few months have been crazy with work and family events. Haven't had much time to post, and even worse, not much time to cook.

All that just compounds the fact that my local Craigslist is in the midst of its annual hibernation for months...until today.

While checking my email at 5 am, I found a new CL alert and when I saw the pictures I realized this was the last piece I needed for my kettle collection, a 26".

In two years searching Craigslist I've only seen 3 and they were all gone instantly. Even more interesting, it's got the new style handle I first thought it was last years model  but i forgot the 26's got new handle sooner it's an AT Code so still pretty new.

I made arrangements and grabbed today. Had a nice conversation with seller. Their family home was sold and the grill couldn't go so they were happy to see going to a new home. I am looking toward to doing some massive two zone cooks with all the extra space.

My collection is complete.

Looks good!  If its a 2013 and doesn't sit level, call weber CS.   That is what mine is and it is very out of level due to a leg socket being located in the wrong place.  Apparently there was a batch of these that year and weber is good about replacing them.

actually i believe they have a 10 year warranty.  so if it's a 2006 or newer, they'd replace the defective part.  at least that was my understanding, i could be wrong.

they are one of the best customer service departments i've ever called.
