One of my girl's all-time favs is chicken legs, so that's what we did. From the Better Home & Gardens Grilling cookbook, this features a BBQ sauce that's not called BBQ sauce but that's what you're making.

You do onions, sherry and spices for the marinade, then add what's left from that to tomato sauce, molasses and the rest to make the BBQ sauce. What's interesting about it is that it's not a sweet sauce; there's no sugar in it, just a bit of honey. Had about a cup leftover that's gonna go great in chili soon.

This is what we started with, the day after GA got snow:

Figured might as well use the same skillet used to make the sauce, for bringing in the meat. Why dirty a dish, am I right?

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

I llove that saucing pot.

It's a FarberWare the wife bought for a candy making/melting project. So the bottom is thick to help prevent burning? Of course last year I got the bright idea to use it on the grill. BAD IDEA - plastic handle! Narrowly escaped an issue there!
