What Years Did They Make a Gray Kettle in the US?

I'm going to look at an MBH and old Smokey Joe tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out if the kettle is originally gray or just a faded black. Did they make gray kettles during the MBH era?

True grey kettles:

1963 22.5 two tone grey mist aka "The Plainsman" had a metal lid handle.

1990-1991 light grey 22.5 BAR B KETTLE and OT+/MT.

Late 2000's Crate & Barrel Performer dark grey.

I believe I read in a past thread that both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 SS Performers included a Grey  ...    SJ

That's correct. The original grey was much lighter

I have a P code gray performer, so that would add 1992 -1993 wouldn't it?
