I am at an Ace that I used to frequent often, their prices are always a little higher than most other places to I don't usually purchase stuff but they have a good selection...Until today.

I was perusing the selection of gassers, Q's and kettles then I noticed a newly assembled Master-Touch (One of my Goals for 2015).  Then noticed the price tag.

I immediately tried to play it cool with the sales rep and asked if I could simply purchase the floor model.  I whipped out my CC and ran to the car.

they mis-labeled a new MT as a 22.5 OTS.  you knew it but played along.

ACE doesn't put new products on sale for 60% off.

good karma comes when you take it back and let them know of their mistake.

GregS,  I have considered placing a call with them.

SO Greg brings up an interesting point with regards to the morally right thing to do.

They actually didn't have it mislabel as a OTS because they had both OTS 18 and 22 on the floor and lableled differently.

This was labeled as it is on the Receipt as black kettle.  There is a law, atleast in Michigan that a store has to sell you a product for the price they have it labeled for.

Morally and ethically did I go against any moral code here?  I am interested in your thoughts, I was thrilled at the thought of getting a Master-touch, 40% normal price was unreal.

No way did you do anything wrong L.B.! The receipt shows a 22.5 black kettle and that is what you got. Think on it no more bud.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Mistakes happen. It goes both ways. I know I've been over charged before by accident. It usually isn't worth the trouble of trying to get it corrected if you are already home. This happens all the time at the grocery store around here. Even if he calls them and tells them of their mistake, there is a good chance that they will tell you to not worry about it. I've had that happen to me before as well.

I do care about my reputation here on the board so I would like to get your opinion, and I know it will vary from person to person.  I knew it was a good deal, I was excited at the thought of snagging the new Master-touch so I went with it. 

@GregS I certainly hope you don't think less of me.  I probably will let the person know that he might want to check the price of the kettle, and BTW if he came back to me as said that is the price, I may go back and by his stock out.
